Design of optoelectronic sensor for biological tissues
Balík, Zdeněk ; Bartlová, Milada (referee) ; Tománek, Pavel (advisor)
Biological tissues are optically inhomogeneous and absorbent materials. They are comprised of various structures such as cells, cell organelles, and various fiber structures. Due to these structures leads to different interactions with the light and phenomena such as absorption, scattering and polarization of light. Different ultrasonic, electromagnetic, electrical and optical methods are used for meat ageing detection. Muscles are turbid anisotropic media, they exhibit changes in electrical and optical properties according to the direction of the electrical and optical fields in the sample. The diploma work assesses the feasibility of impedance measurements for meat ageing detection and their comparison with optical measurement of scattered polarized light. Two different sample were used: pork chop slices and chicken breasts were used for their relative homogeneity. The electrical method is a promising method due to the possibility of getting much information and realizing cheap and fast enough measurement systems. The proposed optical method allows measure the rotation of polarization plane with meat ageing in the range of 95 degrees within considered period. Through the first promising results obtained in this thesis, a further work has to be provided to determine closer relationship between optical scattering characteristics, electrical anisotropy in ageing-related tissue structural properties.
Adaptation of Pupils to the First Year of Primary School
Čermáková, Petra ; Bravená, Noemi (advisor) ; Stará, Jana (referee)
The thesis deals with the adaptation of pupils, which is often associated in literature with kindergarten. It si a new topic for the first year of primary school. Therefore, the thesis focuses on describing the different concepts that are essential to understanding a child's adaptation to the first year of primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis is arranged chronologically as the each topic comes up in the child life, i.e. from the definition of preschool age, throuth the issues of school maturity and readiness, enrolment and deferment, to the definition of the younger school age. A central chapter is devoted to the issue of adaptation and the causes of failed adaptation. For the empirical part of the thesis, qualitative research based on the case study research method was chosen. Several techniques were used for data collection. These include direct non- participant observation of pupils during breaks as well as lessons. The observations are supplemented by semi-structured individual interviews with pupils, a teacher and a class assistant. Another technique is a parents online questionnaire. KEYWORDS Adaptation, pupil, maturity, readiness, school, classmate, team, new beginning, environment.

In my work I deal with methods of sensory evaluation of grapevines. In the first part I research informations about structure of grapevines, as well biochemistry of grapevines and as well factors affecting of maturity of berry. In the second half of work I identify informations about types of maturity berry, and about sensory and analytical evaluation. In experimental part of work I do sensory evaluation directly in the vineyard and analytical evaluation in the laboratory. For evaluation I have varieties as Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Hibernal, Savilon and Bronner.
Vliv zralosti ovoce na kvalitu kompotů
Hrazdírová, Barbora
In this thesis was described the sort of fruit, its material composition, the processing of canning and health risks associated with using materials of poor quality. The practical experiment was made with two varieties of apricots (Leskora, Tomcot) which were harvested at three different stages of maturity. The fresh fruit was determined by the weight of the cores and the fruit, width, height and the thickness of the fruit, the shape index, the proportion of core, color, penetrometric stress, the content of organic acids and the content of soluble solids. Apricot compotes, which were made from fruits, were analyzed by the sensorial evaluation. There was the evaluation by the color, appearance, aroma, texture, taste and general impression. The compotes were laboratory determined by soluble solids content and organic acid content again. There was found the type Tomcot preserves even after the cann processing its solid consistency and is suitable for producing apricot compotes.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the level of maturity of children older than two years in the context of their potential integration in the public preschool education system before they reach the age of three years. The first chapter discusses the opinion of the EU Council of the preschool education, its ambition to promote the institutional care in line with the equal opportunities for men and women policy, and the situation in EU member states as regards meeting the 2002 Barcelona goals. The second chapter describes the current legislative and institutional framework in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the applicable legislation, namely the Parental Subsidy Act as amended, and the existing framework of the institutional care in question. The key focus of the third chapter is on children and their needs. The third chapter elaborates on various factors influencing their development such as family situation, age and other individual particularities. The last chapter of the theoretical part is on maturity of a child younger than three years from the point of view of the developmental psychology. The practical part surveys children maturity based on the environment examination in kindergartens, crèches and children homes. It encompasses observations of three children from their day one in...
Thriving (glourishingg) of supra-national corporation manager
Rohlíková, Petra ; Rymeš, Milan (advisor) ; Bedrnová, Eva (referee) ; Štětovská, Iva (referee)
A managerial role place great challenges on the individual from the perspective of self- management, primarily considering the challenges of that role and individual needs and values. This dissertation discusses the potential for maintaining well-being when performing in a managerial role in a supra-national corporation. The focus is primarily on the idea of flourishing (thriving) defined by the American psychologist Martin Seligman. Flourish fundamentally includes subjective, hedonic elements (experiences of joy), as well as, eudaemonic quality built on the individual but for the wider community. Flourishing is closely linked to the self-concept of the individual; its content is subjective in character. Employment in a supra-national environment includes characteristics which may reduce the quality of this for an individual. This, mainly, involves constant adapting to change, working in a turbulent environment, collaborations encountering cultural differences (national and organisational), working in a matrix structure and/or frequent emphases on hedonism or consumerism. The research is predominantly qualitative in character; mapping pivotal topics which, in the future, will require a more empirical approach. This research focuses on a deeper understanding of functional areas and strategies which...
The Adult as a Catechesis Participant and Recipient
Paseka, Tomáš ; Kuźniar, Mariusz (advisor) ; Bravená, Noemi (referee)
The title of the thesis is "The Adult as a Catechesis Participant and Recipient". The first part of the thesis introduces the issue of adult catechesis. It describes the ways in which the Church has, since its beginning (in its original practice), strived to tackle this phenomenon and provides an overview of the most important magisterial documents related to this topic. It also outlines the current challenges faced by the Church. Subsequently, attention is given to the prerequisites which an adult as a recipient and co-worker in the catechetical process should meet. Besides considering the current scientific psychological view of general human maturity, the thesis deals with the dynamics of faith development and its maturation. Furthermore the thesis outlines the goals of adult catechesis as well as the subsequent work which is crucial to continuing education. Finally, the thesis outlines the pastoral-catechetical view of adults.

My thesis is focused on the theme "Gypsy child at the beginning of school attendace". The main aim of my thesis is to find out how gypsy pupils are able to adapt to an inclusive school. The purpose is complemented by research questions which are divided into two areas according to influencing factors. The first of the factors are internal factors, that means the ones that deal with the individual of a children in the educational process himself, then external factors which influence and participate in education of Roma pupils in primary school. Theoretical part is formed to make consistent unit with the practical part. First chapter is focused on Romas and their ethnic history. In second and third chapter we can find out more about the gypsy pupils in the beginning of school attendance. Second chapter is divided into several subchapters according to the determinants of school maturity. Fourth chapter is the basis of the whole thesis, because it is mainly focused on the gypsy pupils in the context of Czech education. This chapter is also divided into several subchapters depending on the different influences on the education of gypsy pupils. In the fifth chapter attention is paid to the work of a teacher with a gypsy pupil. In other chapters there is a summary of my knowledge from the whole of the...
